Queendom is a collision of what the artist Marka 27 identifies as African American culture and women’s empowerment. As a Mexican American artist residing in Massachusetts, he also saw the Queendom mural in Central Square as a great opportunity to use art in the area to squash stereotypes of racism in the area.
